As the main currency of FFXIV, Gil is an integral part of many activities. It's used to purchase everything from the simplest items to endgame weapons. It can also be invested in the Market Board for significant returns. However, conventional methods of farming gil in ffxiv can be quite time consuming. Fortunately, there are several other options that offer similar rewards without the need for intense farming. These methods include FATEs, Duties and Treasure Maps. These can be a good source of Gil even with the new Shadowbringers and Endwalker expansions.

FATEs and Duties are one of the fastest ways to make a lot of Gil in FFXIV. These are short quests that offer a lot of experience and crafting materials. In addition, Treasure Maps can also provide a steady flow of Gil. Players can activate these maps by summoning a retainer from their grand companies.

Retainer Ventures

Whether they’re mining, gathering, or fishing, a player’s Retainer can bring back sellable loot that makes for an easy supplemental income. These NPC aides are often overlooked but offer an effective solution to accumulating gil, especially during the earliest part of the game.
