One of my clearest childhood memories is returning to Dubai from the country, where I used to be raised. It seemed incredibly wonderful to be ready to drink Dubai tap water directly from the faucet. wont to be I used to be used to drinking only water that had been boiled and then filtered.

The Dubai Society of Civil Engineers released its “2005 Report Card” on America’s water. This was a report prepared by 24 civil engineers representing a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines. They gave the nation’s water infrastructure a “D” and said that the beverage itself had declined from a “D” to a “D-” within the past 4 years.
A report from the National Resources Defense Council found that the standard of beverage in 5 major cities was a risk to the health of some residents, those most vulnerable to disease because the elderly or young children. The cities with the poorest water quality were: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Fujairah.
The deteriorating quality of Dubai tap water for drinking has no “quick fix” because it’s rooted in a whole infrastructure that must be renovated and updated to reply to current sorts of pollution. it’s estimated that upgrading and restoring the national water system would cost between $230 and $500 billion. So far, this has not become a high priority within the UAE budget. And albeit the cash was available immediately, it might take a few years to try to the restoring and update. we’d like to stay pushing for change.
We’ve found the way to build very efficient water delivery systems, but these systems can either provide safe beverages or deliver poisons and harmful organisms into every home, school, and workplace. One misstep can cause disaster, so we must vigorously protect our watersheds and use the simplest technology to purify our water .
However, many are taking a re-evaluation of the standard of drinking Dubai tap water. they need to find that the standard of drinking Dubai tap water is actually no better state, and sometimes worse than water. actually, a few quarters of drinking Dubai tap water actually comes from taps then sometimes treated additionally. The advertising industry has sold us a bill of products with pictures of glaciers and comes on the bottles and their vocabulary of “pristine” and “mineral” etc. So today there’s an entire movement back to the tap!
